About the Product
The Search for Planet X is a competitive logic deduction game where players act as astronomers trying to locate a hidden planet at the edge of the solar system.
Each game, a companion app secretly determines the positions of celestial objects—like asteroids, comets, and gas clouds—along with Planet X itself. Players then use actions like scanning sectors, surveying regions, and researching rules to gather information and eliminate possibilities.
The puzzle works almost like Sudoku in space. You’re not guessing—you’re logically narrowing down possibilities using known rules about how objects can and cannot be arranged.
As players gain confidence, they can publish theories for points or attempt to locate Planet X. Finding it can trigger the end of the game, but you’ll still need to have your deductions right to win.
What We Think at WiredVillage Boardgames
We haven’t played this one yet, but it looks like a really strong deduction game. The idea of a pure logic puzzle with an app handling the hidden information is pretty cool, and it seems like the kind of game that rewards careful thinking more than luck.
