About the Product
Make the Difference turns “spot the difference” into a creative party game, but this time you are the one creating the sneaky little changes.
Each player gets an illustration and secretly adds 5 lines to create differences in the picture. Then the other players try to find what changed. You want your differences to be clever: not so obvious that everyone spots them immediately, but not so tiny that nobody has a fair chance. The best differences live in that perfect little gremlin zone between “how did I miss that?” and “okay, that was actually brilliant.”
Players score for finding other people’s differences, but also for creating differences that are challenging in the right way. Bold changes that go unnoticed can be especially rewarding, so there’s a fun push-your-luck feeling in deciding how daring to be with your drawings.
Make the Difference is a light, creative game for players who enjoy visual puzzles, drawing, and trying to outwit their friends without needing to be “good at art.” It plays 2–5 players in about 15–30 minutes and was published by Oink Games.
What We Think
We haven’t played Make the Difference yet, but this looks like a very clever twist on a familiar puzzle format. Instead of just searching for differences, you get to make them, which sounds like it could lead to a lot of table laughter and suspicious squinting.
We like that it doesn’t seem to be about drawing beautiful artwork. You’re just adding small lines to an existing illustration, so the fun is more about cleverness, timing, and hiding something in plain sight.
This also feels like a good fit for families, casual game nights, and people who like party games that are a bit more creative than just answering prompts.
Why You Might Like It
You might like Make the Difference if you enjoy spot-the-difference puzzles, light drawing games, visual observation games, or party games where creativity matters more than serious strategy.
It should be a nice pick for players who want something quick, unusual, and easy to explain. A tiny box full of suspicious lines and everyone pretending they “totally saw that one already.”
