Tag Team

Tag Team is a two-player fighting game inspired by classic arcade fighters, blending auto battler gameplay with deck building. Each player builds a team of two fighters from a roster of twelve, and each fighter brings their own unique deck, techniques, and special moves.

At the start, your deck is tiny, and combat unfolds automatically. You flip cards one at a time and resolve their effects, so the real challenge is in how you build and shape your deck over time. After each round, players add new cards to improve their strategy, but the cards already in the deck stay in order, which makes planning and timing especially important.

The goal is to create powerful synergies between your two fighters, set up strong combos, and block your opponent’s attacks at the right moment. It captures that back-and-forth fighting game feel in a card-driven format.

What We Think at WiredVillage Boardgames

We haven’t tried this one yet, but the concept is really interesting. The mix of auto battler combat and deck building feels like a clever way to bring a fighting game style into a tabletop format. Building a two-fighter team and trying to create the right synergy looks like it could be a lot of fun.
