About the Product

Sinoda is an abstract strategy game that feels very similar to chess, but with a clever twist—your pieces are 4-sided dice.

Each die represents a piece on the board. The number facing up determines both how far it moves and how many points it’s worth if captured. On your turn, you can either:

  • Move a piece based on its value, or
  • Rotate it to change its number (and therefore its movement and value)

Capturing works by landing on another player’s piece, and the goal isn’t just to capture the most pieces—it’s to capture the most valuable ones.

Because increasing a piece’s power also makes it worth more to your opponents, every decision becomes a tradeoff between strength and risk. The result is a game that has that chess-like positional thinking, but with a dynamic layer of changing piece values.

What We Think at WiredVillage Boardgames

This is much closer to a chess-like abstract game with dice as pieces. The idea that your pieces change strength and value is really interesting, and it looks like the kind of game that rewards planning while still keeping things dynamic.
